This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), remote contract role located in Cupertino, CA; Culver City, CA; or New York, NY.
The Content Production Specialist/Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the flawless execution of technical production and workflows for digital content across key productivity applications. This role bridges the gap between design intentions and technical implementation, maintaining the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with design, engineering, and QA teams to deliver engaging, functional content experiences for users on multiple platforms.
5-7+ years of experience in technical production, content engineering, or a related field
Passion for content development and digital production with a strong foundation in layout, typography, and design systems
Proficient in Keynote, Pages, Numbers, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, SourceTree, Terminal, and GitHub
Familiar with technical workflows, QA processes, accessibility (AX) testing, and software development environments
Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, localization, and quality assurance
Able to work independently and manage multiple complex projects with overlapping timelines
Flexible and adaptable to evolving priorities, features, and stakeholder needs
Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
Analytical thinker with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in software, templates, and workflows
Background in digital content production, design, UX, or software engineering
Previous experience working in a technical production or content engineering capacity within a software or technology environment
In this role, you will lead the translation of design concepts into technically sound templates and themes for productivity applications.
You'll partner with design, engineering, and quality assurance teams to build, test, and deliver high-quality, user-friendly templates across platforms. This includes managing file structures, performing AX testing, pressure testing new designs, auditing content for bugs, and collaborating closely on new feature implementations.
You will also maintain and enhance content production workflows, support localization efforts, manage GitHub repositories, and help ensure seamless content integration into software builds, supporting the iWork Content Team's overall success.

This opportunity is located remotely with occasional travel or collaboration in Cupertino, CA; Culver City, CA; or New York, NY, as needed.
The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $80.00 to $85.00 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
