The Content Marketing Manager owns the strategy and execution of content that explains complex technology products, attracts qualified audiences, and supports demand generation across the funnel. The role translates product capabilities, customer problems, and market insights into practical content for technical and business buyers. The role partners with product marketing, SEO, demand generation, sales, and subject-matter experts to build a measurable content engine across the website, email, search, social, and sales channels. Success means increasing organic visibility, improving engagement and conversion, and creating content that contributes to pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage an editorial calendar spanning technical articles, customer stories, solution pages, whitepapers, webinars, email campaigns, and sales enablement content
- Develop SEO-driven content briefs using Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, and competitive research; improve rankings for priority topics and product categories
- Write, edit, and publish clear content through a CMS such as WordPress, Webflow, or Contentful, maintaining consistent messaging, structure, and editorial quality
- Partner with product marketing and subject-matter experts to explain APIs, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, cybersecurity, or other technical concepts for distinct buyer audiences
- Manage content distribution across email, LinkedIn, organic search, and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot or Marketo
- Measure content performance using traffic, engagement, conversion, sourced pipeline, and influenced revenue; deliver recurring reports and recommend prioritization changes
- Coordinate freelance writers, agencies, designers, and internal stakeholders to deliver campaigns and content assets on schedule and within budget
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of content marketing experience in B2B technology, SaaS, cloud, data, cybersecurity, or a related technical market
- Demonstrated ability to create and manage content programs that improve organic traffic, qualified engagement, and marketing pipeline
- Strong writing, editing, and content strategy skills, with the ability to simplify technical subjects without losing accuracy
- Hands-on experience with a CMS, SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, Semrush, or Google Search Console, and analytics tools including GA4
- Working knowledge of marketing automation, CRM, and campaign reporting systems such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Salesforce
- Strong project-management skills with experience coordinating multiple contributors, deadlines, reviews, and launch dependencies
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field; Bonus: experience with developer or technical audiences, product-led growth, AI-assisted content workflows, webinar programs, or sales enablement
