The Content Marketing Manager owns the content engine for a technology business, translating complex products, technical workflows, and customer problems into clear content that attracts qualified audiences and supports revenue growth.
The role works across product marketing, SEO, demand generation, sales, and subject-matter experts to build a measurable content program spanning the website, blog, email, social, product education, and sales enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage an editorial calendar covering technical blog posts, customer stories, ebooks, product guides, webinars, and sales enablement assets
- Translate product capabilities, APIs, data workflows, and industry use cases into accurate, audience-specific content for technical and business buyers
- Own organic growth programs using keyword research, topic clusters, technical SEO, internal linking, and performance analysis in Google Search Console and GA4
- Write, edit, and optimize content across CMS, email, landing pages, LinkedIn, and other distribution channels while maintaining a consistent brand voice
- Partner with product marketing, SEO, design, demand generation, and sales to align content with launches, campaigns, funnel stages, and buyer intent
- Measure content performance using traffic, rankings, engagement, MQLs, influenced pipeline, and conversion rates; present insights and recommendations to leadership
- Manage freelance writers, agencies, and subject-matter contributors, including briefs, deadlines, review cycles, and quality standards
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of content marketing, editorial, SEO, or demand-generation experience in a B2B or B2C technology environment
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to explain technical products and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Hands‑on experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress or Webflow and analytics tools including GA4, Google Search Console, and Looker Studio or similar
- Working knowledge of SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, or Moz, including keyword research, content audits, and performance reporting
- Experience developing content briefs, managing editorial workflows, and coordinating reviews across product, engineering, legal, and sales teams
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Bonus: Experience with HubSpot or Marketo, technical SaaS content, product‑led growth, AI‑assisted content workflows, webinar production, or content attribution and marketing automation
