Job summary

Magnit is seeking a Content Coordinator, Catalog Operations (temp) to support the Newark-based US Catalog Operations team. You will ensure timely ingestion and upkeep of product metadata and digital assets for titles, enabling complete and accurate catalog releases.

You will work with CMS systems, manage asset queues, and collaborate with internal partners to drive on-time delivery while leveraging AI tools to enhance workflows and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Editorial/publishing experience in web-based environments.
  • Fluency with Office 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • BA/BS or equivalent in humanities.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with CMS databases and metadata.

Responsibilities

  • Ingest and maintain product metadata and digital assets for catalog items.
  • Monitor asset delivery queue and coordinate with partners for timely releases.
  • Process metadata update requests and respond promptly.
  • Manage title cancellation and hold queues and re-ingest when needed.
  • Route internal tickets and align workflows with SLA; assist AI-enabled workflows.

Content Coordinator (TEMP)

About This Role

Our Client is seeking a Content Coordinator, Catalog Operationsto support our Newark-based US Catalog Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely ingestion and maintenance of product information (metadata) and digital assets (audio, images, table of contents) for titles, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timely release of all products in the catalog.

As Content Coordinator, Catalog Operations, you will:

  • Delivery monitoring and asset ingestion: Monitor the third party asset delivery queue on a daily basis, vetting all asset deliveries prior to ingesting and queuing into Catalog Operations workflows. Communicate status of ingested and queued titles to Catalog Operations partners on a daily basis to ensure the timely release of all delivered content. Process and verify both daily and large-scale metadata update and correction requests received from providers, customers, and internal stakeholders via tickets or other sources, and ensure all requests are answered appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Workflow confirmations and removal: Handle the title cancellation queue, notifying third party providers when titles have been removed from workflow and what corrections are needed to re-instate them into workflow. Assist with oversight of the confirmation request queue, notifying providers that titles are on hold and what corrections/confirmations are needed to reinstate them into workflow.
  • Provider change requests: Assess validity of and initiate product update requests received from providers and customers, and ensure that requests are answered appropriately and in a timely fashion.
  • Ticket queue management: Monitor incoming tickets from internal partners, taking action and properly routing as needed to ensure all queues stay within the expected Catalog Operations SLA.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance Opsworkflows including task-basked automation, process documentation, data synthesis, and stakeholder communication, while following team standards and sharing successful use cases with colleagues
About You

You have the ability to adapt to our client's business & communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders. You are a strong contributor to the local and global content operations team efforts, helping to deliver the best possible localized listener experience. Your expertise in working with Content Management Systems, coupled with your avid consumption of media, make you a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment. You will feel comfortable in this role if you enjoy working with numerous stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, take pride in utilizing data to deliver accurate results, and want to push boundaries to optimize throughput with low defects. Above all, you have a passion for technology and media, specifically spoken word audio, which drives your commitment to excellence in this role.

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year experience in editorial/publishing, preferably web-based publishing environment, ideally with proven experience in CMS databases and metadata
  • Fluency in Office 365 including Outlook, Word, & Excel
  • A confident and upbeat communicator via written and verbal business communication skills
  • BA/BS or equivalent degree, preferably in Humanities
  • Experience in stakeholder management, interactions with external partners, and interdepartmental collaborative work
  • Previous experience with ticketing systems and process documentation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the ONIX standard XML metadata exchange format
  • Hands-on experience working with AI systems, tools, or data products
  • Experience with JIRA & Airtable systems
  • Familiarity with AGILE best practices, framework, and execution
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • A self-starter with impeccable organizational and analytical skills
  • An avid consumer of online media, including books (audio and print), blogs, podcasts, and other digital content
