Job description

Content Claims Specialists manage the physical inventory and valuation of contents damaged in residential and commercial property claims. They prepare report packages outlining the replacement cost and actual cash value of non-restorable items. Responsibilities include determining whether contents are restorable or non-restorable and preparing estimates for both categories. This role may involve managing restoration contractors on complex claims.

New York State Salary Details:

$30,354.10 - $55,506.70

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage assigned claims from initial contact until completion, acting as the single point of contact for all stakeholders.
  2. Communicate with adjusters, policyholders, and vendors to explain the role of Content Claims Specialists.
  3. Schedule and complete physical inventories of contents impacted by covered losses, identifying claim types and applying appropriate methodologies.
  4. Determine whether content items should be restored, repaired, cleaned, or replaced.
  5. Ensure timely and quality claims processing in accordance with company standards and client SLAs.
  6. Coordinate resources for data entry and assessment of damaged contents.
  7. Manage claim workload to ensure timely closures.
  8. Maintain detailed claim notes and logs accurately.
  9. Complete timely and accurate pricing of all claim items following LKQ standards.
  10. Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education.
  11. Promote the company's brand and uphold the Code of Business Conduct.
  12. Participate in special projects, CAT responses, or other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Secondary (High School) Diploma; college degree preferred.
  2. Adjuster License and valid driver’s license.
  3. Minimum 6 months (preferably 2-3 years) relevant experience or completion of basic property classes and continuing education.
  4. Strong communication, attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and utilize computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Excel).
  6. Must meet licensing and vehicle requirements, and have a suitable home workspace with high-speed internet.
  7. Company equipment will be provided; responsible for maintenance.
  8. Overnight travel required.
