Job description

Content Claims Specialists manage the physical inventory and valuation of contents damaged in residential and commercial property claims. They provide a report outlining the replacement cost and actual cash value of non-restorable items. Responsibilities include determining whether contents are restorable or non-restorable and preparing estimates for both. They may also manage restoration contractors on complex claims.

Key duties include:

  1. Managing claims from initial contact to completion, acting as the single point of contact.
  2. Communicating with adjusters, policyholders, and vendors to explain roles and processes.
  3. Scheduling and conducting physical inventories, identifying claim types, and applying appropriate methodologies.
  4. Deciding on restoration, repair, cleaning, or replacement of contents.
  5. Ensuring quality and timely processing of claims in line with company standards and client SLAs.
  6. Organizing resources for data entry and assessments.
  7. Managing claim load to promote timely closures.
  8. Maintaining detailed notes and logs in the company's claims system.
  9. Completing and pricing outstanding items following LKQ standards.
  10. Maintaining professional knowledge through continuing education.
  11. Promoting edjuster's brand and upholding the company's code of conduct.
  12. Participating in special projects, CAT responses, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

  • Secondary diploma; college degree preferred.
  • Adjuster license and relevant work experience (minimum 6 months, 2-3 years preferred).
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, analytical skills, and independence.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related software.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to work remotely with a suitable workspace and high-speed internet.

This is a remote position with required overnight travel. Company equipment will be provided, and employees are responsible for its care.
