Job description

Content Claims Specialists manage the physical inventory and valuation of contents damaged in residential and commercial property claims. They provide a report outlining the replacement cost and actual cash value of non-restorable items. Responsibilities include determining whether contents are restorable or non-restorable and preparing estimates for both. This role may involve managing restoration contractors on complex claims.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage assigned claims from initial contact to completion, acting as the single point of contact for all stakeholders.
  2. Communicate with adjusters, policyholders, and vendors to clarify roles and processes.
  3. Schedule and conduct physical inventories, identify claim types, and apply appropriate methodologies, often in diverse conditions.
  4. Decide on restoration, repair, cleaning, or replacement of contents.
  5. Ensure claims are processed efficiently, meeting productivity and SLA standards.
  6. Coordinate resources for data entry and assessment of contents.
  7. Manage claim load to ensure timely closures.
  8. Maintain clear communication with all parties involved.
  9. Complete detailed logs and maintain claim notes in the company's system.
  10. Ensure timely and accurate pricing of all items according to standards.
  11. Maintain professional knowledge through ongoing education.
  12. Promote the company's brand and uphold ethical standards.
  13. Participate in special projects, CAT responses, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  1. High School diploma; college degree preferred.
  2. Adjuster license and relevant work experience (minimum 6 months, 2-3 years preferred).
  3. Strong communication, attention to detail, analytical skills, and computer proficiency.
  4. Valid driver's license and ability to meet licensing and continuing education requirements.
  5. Ability to work remotely with an adequate workspace, high-speed internet, and reliable transportation.
  6. Company equipment will be provided; employee must care for it.
  7. Overnight travel required.
