Content Claims Specialists Job Description

Content Claims Specialists are responsible for the physical inventory and valuation of contents damaged in residential and commercial property claims as a result of a covered peril.

  1. Communicate with adjusters, policyholders, and industry vendors to explain their roles as Content Claims Specialists and their contributions in the claims handling process.
  2. Complete physical inventory of impacted contents, identify claim type, and apply appropriate methodology based on circumstances. Be prepared for diverse conditions (cold, heat, rain, debris, etc.).
  3. Ensure consistent, quality, and timely processing of all claims according to company standards and client SLA requirements.
  4. Coordinate with the Field Support Department to organize resources for data entry and LKQ assessment of damaged contents efficiently.
  5. Manage claim load independently to promote timely closures.
  6. Maintain communication with all parties, providing timely and informative updates.
  7. Complete and submit detailed work and time logs daily.
  8. Maintain accurate claim notes in the company's system, including hours over standards and specific issues.
  9. Ensure timely and accurate pricing of all outstanding items following LKQ standards.
  10. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education.
  11. Promote edjuster's brand and uphold the Crawford Code of Business Conduct.
  12. Participate in special projects, CAT responses, or other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Secondary (High School) Diploma; college degree preferred.
  • At least 6 months relevant work experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including handling challenging situations.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
  • This is a remote position; must provide a suitable workspace, high-speed internet, and a personal vehicle.
  • Company-provided equipment will be maintained responsibly.
  • Overnight travel required.
