Job description

This position's primary work location is in Riverside, CA.

Content Claims Specialists are responsible for the physical inventory and valuation of contents damaged in residential and commercial property claims as a result of a covered peril.

  1. Communicate with adjusters, policyholders, and industry vendors to explain their roles as Content Claims Specialists and their contributions in the claims handling process.
  2. Complete physical inventory of the contents impacted by the covered loss, identify claim type, and apply appropriate methodology based on circumstances. May be exposed to diverse conditions (cold, heat, rain, debris, etc.).
  3. Ensure consistent, quality, and timely processing of all claims in accordance with company standards and client SLA requirements.
  4. Coordinate with the Field Support Department to organize resources for data entry and LKQ assessment of damaged or destroyed contents efficiently.
  5. Manage claim load independently to promote timely closures.
  6. Communicate with all parties involved, providing timely and informative updates on the claims process.
  7. Complete and submit detailed work/time logs daily for all processed claims.
  8. Maintain claim-related notes in the company's claims system, including hours over standards and pertinent issues.
  9. Ensure timely and accurate completion and pricing of all outstanding items following LKQ standards.
  10. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education.
  11. Promote edjuster's brand, image, and reputation professionally.
  12. Uphold the Crawford Code of Business Conduct at all times.
  13. Participate in special projects, CAT responses, or other duties as requested.

Minimum qualifications include:

  1. Secondary (High School) Diploma; college degree preferred.
  2. At least 6 months of relevant work experience.
  3. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  5. Ability to work independently.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills for handling challenging situations.
  8. Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check.
  9. This is a remote position requiring a noise-free workspace, high-speed internet, and a reliable personal vehicle.
  10. Company equipment will be provided; maintaining it is the employee's responsibility.
  11. Overnight travel is required.
