The Contemplative Sciences Center (CSC) at the University of Virginia is hiring a Contemplative Instructor Coordinator. This part-time, hybrid position serves as the main contact for contemplative instructors, handling onboarding, scheduling, and payments while ensuring instructors have what they need to teach in the Contemplative Commons.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective contemplative instructors, collecting information and replying promptly.
• Greet instructors at first class, help set up and ensure room/equipment readiness.
• Explain instructor rates and payment processes clearly and consistently.
• Enforce building and space-use policies with instructors.
• Relay issues from instructors to programs/operations and follow up.
• Coordinate hiring, onboarding and payments for instructors.
• Book rooms for weekly classes in coordination with scheduling staff.
• Track attendance and maintain CI Directory for contact info and areas of expertise.
• Support registration and perform other duties as assigned.
