Job summary

University of Virginia's Contemplative Sciences Center is seeking a friendly, organized Contemplative Instructor Coordinator to support the community of contemplative instructors (CIs). This part-time, hybrid role will act as the primary contact from hiring to day-to-day teaching and offboarding, handling onboarding and payments for instructors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in program coordination, customer service, administrative support, or related role desired.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to build warm, professional relationships.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail managing multiple people, schedules, and deadlines.
• Comfort communicating and upholding policies in a friendly, clear, and consistent way.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Forms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for current and prospective contemplative instructors.
• Greet instructors, help setup, and ensure space and equipment are ready for class.
• Communicate instructor rates and payment processes clearly and consistently.
• Communicate building and space-use policies; help enforce them.
• Maintain records of instructor agreements, onboarding documents, certificates of liability, and payments.
