Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, four year-college degree preferred.
• 4 years of financial service experience to include 3 years of consumer and/or real estate lending experience.
• Underwriting experience or knowledge, preferred.
• Excellent math aptitude and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work as a team player being flexible and dependable.
• Ability to work independently while displaying initiative and decision-making skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism while working under pressure.
• Maintains awareness of enterprise compliance requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/AML) obligations, and follows internal policies and escalation protocols as applicable.
• Ability to pass all pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
• Responsible for regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an underwriter of consumer and home equity lending.
• Support the organizational philosophy of high loan quality by recognizing opportunities for our members to improve their financial well-being.
• Serve as a staff resource by mentoring staff in lending practices, guidelines, policies, regulations and procedures.
