Qualifications

• 3-5 years in consumer lending or underwriting
• High school diploma or GED required
• Proficiency in evaluating credit reports and loan documents
• Knowledge of consumer lending regulations (TILA, ECOA, FCRA)

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications for accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
• Analyze financial documents, credit reports, and income data to assess creditworthiness.
• Evaluate risk using credit scoring models and risk management tools.
• Ensure decisions follow applicable laws and regulations (TILA, ECOA, FCRA, RESPA).
• Communicate decisions to applicants and request documentation as needed.
• Collaborate with loan officers and management on complex cases.
• Maintain documentation and support audit readiness.
• Stay up to date with industry changes, products, and compliance standards.
