Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Loan Processor to support lending operations, reviewing consumer and mortgage loans from conditional approval through closing, and assisting customers in applying for credit.

You will manage application intake, gather required documents, and coordinate with lenders and underwriters to ensure timely closings. Strong communication, regulatory awareness across states, and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review consumer and mortgage loans from conditional approval to closing.
• Take applications and arrange consumer credit transactions.
• Contact customers to obtain conditions placed by lender or underwriter.
• Review supporting materials for closing and prepare files.
• Prepare disclosures and Form 4506T for approved loan applications.
• Provide support to customers, branches, and lending staff as needed.
• Contact customers to collect and review additional information as necessary.
• Answer phone calls in queue and on the personal line to assist customers.
• Collect and review conditions placed on loan by lender or underwriter.
• Advise customers regarding changes in rate and term.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the lending areas by reviewing the accuracy of consumer and mortgage loans from conditional approval to closing.
• Take applications, arrange consumer credit transactions, assist consumers in applying or obtaining consumer credit, offer or negotiate consumer credit, and obtain or make an extension of consumer credit for another person.
• Contact customers directly to obtain conditions placed by lender or underwriter.
• Review all required support materials, such as titles and flood certifications, to prepare files for closing.
• Prepare required loan documentation for approved loan applications such as disclosures and Form 4506T.
• Serve as a resource and provide support to customers, branches, and lending staff as needed.
• Contact customers to collect and review additional information as necessary.
• Answer phone calls in queue as well as on the personal line to assist customers.
• Collect and review most conditions placed on loan by lender or underwriter.
• Advise customers regarding changes in rate and term.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 0+ years’ experience required
• Detail‑oriented
• Ability to handle a heavy workload, multitask, and meet stringent deadlines
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all customers, both internal and external
• Strong PC skills
• Flexible work schedule (rotation of nights and/or weekends as required)
• Working knowledge and understanding of regulations from different states
• Real estate experience preferred
• Document handling experience preferred
• Loan processing experience preferred
• Home equity sales experience preferred
