Job summary

Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union is seeking a Consumer Lending Representative to assist members seeking consumer loans through inbound channels (phone and video chat). Training will occur at a RBFCU location in Corpus Christi, TX, after which you may work from home if you meet the program requirements.

You will process and fund various consumer loans, educate members on products, and build relationships while adhering to RBFCU policies and regulatory laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• A minimum of 9 months financial institution experience or 1½ years customer service experience
• Must be proficient in utilizing PC, software, Microsoft applications, and other office equipment (type 25 words per minute and 10 key by touch)
• Possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability and desire to work well in a team environment and develop strong working relationships with external parties
• Good attendance, promptness, accuracy and time management is essential
• Must be able to work a flexible Monday–Saturday schedule (Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)

Responsibilities

• Fulfill member and prospective member loan applications and inquiries and finalize/fund various types of consumer lending loans.
• Provide enthusiastic, professional, quality, prompt and courteous service to members and others as appropriate.
• Discuss and recommend products and services to meet the needs of the member and the mission of RBFCU.
• Process paperwork, and collect fees required to complete title work.
• Inform members of loan decisions and provide information for ancillary loan products.
• Maintain current working knowledge of RBFCU policies and procedures and regulatory laws.
• Include appropriate people in decision‑making process and make timely and informed decisions.
• Accept responsibility, follow through on commitment, and react well under pressure.
• Strive to meet or exceed department standards.

The Consumer Lending Representative will have the ability to work from home aftera period of training (time frame may vary). Training will take place at the Staples location: 5253 S. Staples, Corpus Christi, TX 78411. To successfully work from home, employees must have access to a minimum internet connection as noted by RBFCU.

• • Must have a reliable home internet provider to hard wire a connection to (Ethernet cable provided).
  • Must be able to provide a workspace at home that is safe, suitable for work, and within a distraction free environment.
