Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of front line or operational banking experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree will also be considered.
• Consumer lending experience, including funding or underwriting, is preferred.
• Knowledge of consumer credit, loan documentation, underwriting guidelines, and title/lien requirements preferred.
• Ability to review credit, income, debt, collateral, and loan-to-value information.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and lending systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review consumer loan documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Complete loan closings and book funded loans in the bank's systems.
• Post-closing title and lien follow-up and document collection.
• Review loan applications for creditworthiness and compliance with guidelines.
• Analyze credit reports, income, debt, collateral, and LTV.
• Approve, decline, or escalate loan requests within authority.
• Document underwriting decisions and required stipulations.
• Communicate loan decisions and documentation requirements to dealers and customers.
• Provide professional service and maintain relationships with dealers and coworkers.
• Follow controls and separation of duties across underwriting, funding, booking, and post-closing.
• Assist with workload balancing across funding, title follow-up, and underwriting.
