Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Consumer Financial Services Career Associate Attorney for a hybrid role across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar admission, and 5–10 years of substantive litigation experience, including commercial matters for financial institutions.

You will independently manage cases, supervise junior staff, and collaborate with partners on high-profile matters.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 5–10 years of substantive litigation experience.
• Experience with commercial litigation and representing financial institutions is strongly preferred.
• Background defending matters under FCRA, FDCPA, and/or TCPA is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases, lead projects, and supervise junior team members.
• Strong writing ability, analytical skills, and professional judgment.
• Excellent research, communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, nationally integrated practice.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle a broad range of consumer financial services litigation, including commercial disputes and matters involving federal and state consumer protection laws.
• Participate in hearings, depositions, motions practice, and other proceedings across state and federal courts.
• Provide legal advice and regulatory guidance, communicate case strategy and developments, and support clients responding to government and agency investigations.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and related litigation documents.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on high-impact matters within a collaborative, nationally coordinated team.
