Job Description

The Associate Consumer Finance Specialist is responsible for servicing loan customers by phone, email, chat and other forms of communication. The work includes following up with customers and sales reps by phone, chatting and/or email to communicate the status of their application, compiling the appropriate documents to complete the loan, and ensuring loans are signed by customers in a timely manner. The documents or information is then reviewed by the lender to finish processing.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process opportunities, non-instant approvals and support requests under the direction of other specialists, leads and department manager, using the associated systems. Keep statuses and next action dates up to date so the team can efficiently complete the work. Communicate to customers, sales reps and retailers when account status or additional information is required to resolve items.
• For qualified customers, complete loan application data entry in the lender platform, review loan decision status, and track all workflow items and next action steps in the appropriate system. Communicate with the customer, sales rep and consumer finance specialist about the status of the application and next steps.
• Compile the appropriate documents to complete the loan and ensure loans are signed in a timely manner. Send all documents and/or information to the lender for final processing. Update the system on the status of the application and any issues. Communicate with the customer, sales rep, retailer and consumer finance specialist as appropriate.
• Handle routine, standard, repetitive administrative and reporting duties as assigned. Document current processes and recommend improvements.

Weekly Schedule

• Wednesday–Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM EST (11:00 AM – 8:00 PM PST / 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM MST)
• Saturday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM EST (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM PST / 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM MST)
• Sunday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST)

Qualifications And Skills

• Associate or bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated ability to overcome objections, negotiate positive outcomes and present positive image of the company
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer/data entry skills
• Ability to work independently and be pro-active, detail oriented, and well-organized

Nice-to-have Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish)

Compensation

Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
