Job summary

Truist seeks an experienced Credit Risk leader for the Consumer Credit and Policy Management team to oversee risk across multiple portfolios. You will lead forensic analyses, guide policy and controls, and partner with lending leaders to drive risk-adjusted growth.

The role emphasizes strategic thinking, governance, and strong communication as you monitor risk indicators and implement action plans across consumer lending products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent education and related training.
• 10 years of credit related experience including complex lending structures, documentation skills, modeling skills and problem loan experience.
• 7+ years of related experience, including consumer, small business, credit card, mortgage and wealth.
• Consumer risk and regulatory knowledge.
• Superior ability to think strategically, multi-task, and drive change.
• Strong quantitative, governance and analytic abilities.
• Strong decision making capability.
• Strong leadership, partnership and management skills.
• Demonstrated excellent problem solving.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide credit risk management direction and leadership to assigned portfolio segments to achieve objectives and identify risks.
• Perform forensic credit analysis to identify outliers or early-stage issues with products, regions, and fulfillment centers.
• Oversee risk management and administration for the portfolio segment and processes.
• Serve on key credit committees and communicate risk with BU leaders and managers.
• Monitor risk indicators, pricing strategies, and overall risk appetite within consumer portfolios.
• Write, review and approve credit policies and monitor industry developments for enhancements.
