Job summary

Truist is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Officer to lead risk decisions for large and complex segments within wholesale lending. You will promote a disciplined credit culture, provide leadership to Credit Delivery teams, and partner with business leaders to align lending strategy with risk appetite and profitability targets.

The role requires significant CRE/credit experience, deep regulatory knowledge, and the ability to coach and influence across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
• 15 years of CRE and/or commercial lending or credit experience.
• Strong financial and regulatory knowledge.
• Solid accounting/financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior credit risk officer for large and complex segments within wholesale lending or specialty lines of businesses.
• Promote consistency of Bank's credit culture and lending strategies.
• Lead the advancement of risk management culture, framework, and appetite.
• Provide risk leadership through ongoing engagement with LOB, Product Partner, and Credit Delivery teams.
• Offer guidance, coaching and mentoring on sound lending principles.
• Develop and communicate credit strategies, limits, and policies.
• Exercise prudent credit judgment within delegated authority and risk appetite.
• Stay current on laws, regulations, and risk management techniques.
• Manage complex decisions with significant risk and profitability impact.
• Elevate portfolio updates to Senior Credit Officer and regulators as needed.
