Shift: Full-time; Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Job Location: Remote

The role you will contribute:

Ensures patients are appropriately registered for all service lines. Performs eligibility verification, obtains pre-certifications and authorizations, makes financial arrangements, requests and receives payments for services, performs cashiering functions, clears registration errors, and edits pre-bill. Maintains close relationships with clinical partners to ensure open communication between clinical, ancillary, and patient access departments. Provides exemplary service to internal and external customers and supports PBX (switchboard) coverage as needed.

  • Meets productivity, attendance, and punctuality standards
  • Supports PBX coverage and maintains knowledge of switchboard operations
  • Participates actively in department meetings
  • Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits, determines coverage, and communicates with patients and providers
  • Registers patients accurately, obtaining necessary demographic and insurance details

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Oncology and/or Infusions
  • One year of relevant healthcare experience
  • Prior collections and customer service experience
  • Direct Patient Access experience
