Job summary

Bain & Company in San Francisco is seeking a staffing-focused professional to lead consulting staffing, career development and HR processes within the San Francisco office. The role emphasizes pairing case-team needs with consultant capabilities and aligning staffing with client service, utilization and retention goals.

You will build strong relationships with consultants and leaders, manage performance processes, and contribute to broader office priorities in a hybrid model requiring presence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Liberal Arts or related field; MBA preferred.
• At least 6 years of professional experience, including 2+ years of progressive management experience.
• Deep knowledge of consulting and roles of Associate Consultants, Consultants and Managers.
• Strong service orientation, meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and navigate competing priorities with sound judgment.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead consultant staffing for projects, balancing client, office and individual needs.
• Support career and professional development through mentoring and performance reviews.
• Manage people programs and processes with HR on performance, relations and policy.
• Contribute to broader office priorities, including strategic initiatives and employee experience.
• Maintain data integrity within internal staffing programs and reporting.
