Job summary

Bain & Company in San Francisco is seeking an HR Specialist to partner with the West Coast HR team and support Associate Consulting cohorts and Summer Interns. The role blends program management, policy adherence, and confidential handling of employee matters in a hybrid Bay Area setting.

Initial temporary position with potential conversion to full-time, requiring in-office presence four days during onboarding and training, then at least three days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 3–4 years of professional HR experience.
• Strong customer service, organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Act as an HR Business Partner to Program Manager for Associate Consultant cohorts.
• Oversee onboarding, compensation, employee relations, leaves of absence, transfers, performance management, bonus payments, departure, exit interviews, et.
• Coordinate ratings process and promotion committees for cohorts; attend TAC meetings.
• Manage performance reviews and ensure timely completion across cohorts.
• Support Global Mobility and Benefits teams on cross-functional HR initiatives.
