Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking an IPA Consultative Coding Professional to provide coding expertise and support to independent providers. The role involves collaborating with clinicians to ensure accurate diagnostic coding and compliance, while delivering education based on trends and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in risk adjustment medical coding and must hold a valid certification. A hybrid work model is offered, with a requirement to be located within 50 miles of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of risk adjustment medical coding or risk adjustment provider education.
• Must be certified at least in one of CCS, CRC, or CPC.
• Intermediate/advanced competency with MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical coding expertise and consultative support to IPA providers.
• Conduct quarterly chart reviews for coding accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Participate in daily coder helpdesk to address coding inquiries.
