Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in the Virginia area seeks an IPA Consultative Coding Professional to provide medical coding expertise and consultative support to IPA affiliates nationwide. You will be the primary coding and documentation resource for assigned providers, ensuring accurate diagnostic coding and risk adjustment capture and collaborating with STARS leaders to identify gaps.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of risk adjustment medical coding or risk adjustment provider education.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must be certified at least CCS, CRC, or CPC.
• Must reside and be able to travel within the assigned MSO market or region.
• Hybrid/remote work capability with local travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary coding and documentation resource for assigned IPA providers, answering inquiries and guiding documentation improvements.
• Conduct quarterly chart reviews to evaluate coding accuracy and risk capture opportunities; deliver education accordingly.
• Support daily operations of internal coding tools (APD 2.0) and assist providers with coding workflows.
• Participate in a daily coder helpdesk (virtual) to provide real-time guidance.
• Support HCC outage management and recapture opportunities with analytics and leadership teams.
