The salary range for this role is $88,000 - $121,000/year + Bonus
As a Consultant (Consumer Insights) within the Numerator Strategic Accounts Team, you’ll be a vital member of Numerator focusing on between 1-3 large Enterprise clients whose contracts include a specific number of weekly consulting support hours.
As with any other Numerator Consulting role, your responsibility is to serve as the day-to-day point of contact, engagement lead, and project manager for your assigned client(s). Your goal will be to serve as a trusted adviser to your client(s), including looking for additional opportunities and supporting quarterly business reviews of accomplishments.
How You'll Spend Your Time
- Interface directly with C-suite, consumer insights, shopper insights, category management, brand management, and field teams, supporting their most pressing business questions and challenges
- Regularly leverage Numerator’s consumer panel and survey data to deliver analytic insights and data-driven stories that address Numerator’s strategic customers' goal of driving increased sales and improved marketing effectiveness
- Drive your assigned client(s) engagement and utilization of contracted resources (consulting hours, platform access, survey credits, and custom projects) to maximize return on investment, building success stories that help drive business results and provide opportunities to expand relationships beyond existing accounts, in collaboration with client services and customer success teams
- Collaborate with clients and Numerator’s product team to develop, prototype, and pilot new solutions and enhanced capabilities, bringing the voice of customers back to the organization to support business growth
- Develop a deep understanding of Numerator solutions and services, including key differentiators versus legacy approaches and competitors
- Support sales efforts by participating in sales cycles and presentations as a subject matter expert and solutions advocate
- Create relevant thought leadership content such as webinars, training materials, blog posts, and industry presentations for clients
- Travel as required to fulfill responsibilities
Additional skills and qualifications include:
- Building and managing customer relationships, including stakeholder management
- Proactively analyzing data to find relevant points to answer business questions and craft compelling stories, owning projects end-to-end and leveraging support teams as needed
- Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills to track projects and hours, ensuring contractual obligations are met and ROI is maximized
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with MicroStrategy, Python, and SQL is a plus
- Knowledge of competitive product offerings such as Retail Loyalty Card systems, NCP, IRI, Nielsen, NPD, Ibotta, Catalina, or 1010 Data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with clients at various levels from analysts to executives
- Knowledge of CPG and retail industries, consumer and category insights, and the ability to leverage consumer data for strategic initiatives
- Understanding of syndicated and household panel data (Nielsen/IRI, retail POS, loyalty data)
- Bachelor’s Degree (required) or Master’s Degree (preferred) with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in management consulting, brand marketing, market research, category management, or shopper and consumer insights roles, or as a service provider in these areas
- Experience with relevant software industry roles, such as Nielsen or IRI, is advantageous
- Familiarity with enterprise software applications tailored for retail and consumer goods industries, such as Nielsen, IRI, Dunnhumby
- Advanced skills as a power user of Microsoft Excel and BI software like MicroStrategy, Tableau, QlikView, or Business Objects
