Consultant/Senior Consultant - Property Loss Control

Your Tasks

TUV SUD Global Risk Consultants (GRC) is the leading unbundled property loss control provider worldwide, offering services such as Fire Protection Engineering, Boiler & Machinery Engineering, Infrared Thermographic Surveys, and more. With over 60 years of experience, GRC aims to provide innovative solutions to help clients achieve and maintain high safety standards.

General Responsibilities:

• Conduct property loss control surveys evaluating property and business interruption exposures based on NFPA Standards.
• Develop loss estimates before and after implementing recommendations.
• Evaluate fire protection and water supply systems.
• Report on building construction, occupancy, and hazards.
• Develop loss scenarios, including Maximum Foreseeable Loss.
• Provide training, peer reviews, and serve as a technical resource.
• Assist in proposal preparation, service instructions, and client feedback.
• Communicate professionally with upper management and other stakeholders.
• Manage projects including visits, plan reviews, and presentations.
• Maintain work records in the database.

Functional Responsibilities:

• Respond to client and internal communications.
• Perform fieldwork, report writing, and plan reviews.
• Review workloads and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and traverse catwalks.
• Travel up to 50%, including potential overseas assignments.

Your Qualifications

• Four-year college degree, preferably in engineering.
• Certifications such as PE, CFPS, or working towards them.
• 3-5 years of consulting experience in fire and property loss control.
• Ability to analyze information and draw sound conclusions.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Self-management and recognized technical expertise.
• Computer literacy.
