Enterprise Architecture (EA) encompasses the interconnected domains of business, information, application, infrastructure, and security architectures that collectively support business goals. The vision of Ascension Technologies Enterprise Architecture is to:

• Unify and drive the strategic plan through innovative, secure, resilient technology aligned with Ascension’s mission
• Advocate for positive change and innovation to achieve targeted business outcomes
• Organize and enhance efficiency across current architecture and organizational processes

We are seeking a Consultant Principal Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team, focusing on Architecture Governance, Architecture Board, Backlog Management, Modelling, Knowledge Management, and Workshops. The candidate will manage one or two architects, collaborating with business units and technology teams, bringing healthcare experience, strong architectural knowledge, and leadership in a complex healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead EA planning, processes, governance, and evangelize EA value
• Partner with executive leadership and domain leaders to enable success
• Provide consulting to ensure solutions are platform-oriented, decoupled, and fit within the broader architecture landscape
• Drive modernization, standardization, and portfolio reduction efforts
• Educate and inform on emerging technologies such as AI and Cloud
• Mentor other architects to advance skills and maturity

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience, or Associate's/Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience, 10+ preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large technology organizations and healthcare IT
• Product and Agile experience, TOGAF familiarity
