The City of Albuquerque is seeking a lead foreman to supervise and perform complex carpentry, cement-finishing, and related construction tasks for facilities and parks. You will plan, train, and review the work of staff, read blueprints, and oversee equipment usage to ensure quality and safety.
You will ensure work adheres to standards, coordinate with other trades, and meet project timelines while maintaining a focus on public service and community impact.
Lead, oversee and participate in the more complex and difficult work of staff responsible for the construction, maintenance, repair and remodeling of facilities/structures and parks; perform the most difficult carpentry and cement-finishing tasks and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours vocational training in carpentry, plumbing, or welding;
Three (3) years of construction experience.
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Field and construction site environment; travel from site to site; work around traffic and construction equipment; exposure to fumes, dust, noise and inclement weather conditions.
Essential and supplemental functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for standing, walking, crouching, bending, and climbing for prolonged periods; moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; operating motorized vehicles and equipment.
