Job summary

You will work with hand and power tools, follow safety rules, and support teams on site to deliver high‑quality workmanship. The role requires physical stamina, ability to work long hours, and adherence to site safety standards.

Qualifications

• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk and marking gauge.
• Verify trueness of structure and assemble cut materials with nails, glue, or dowels.

• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk and marking gauge
• Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level
• Assemble cut and shaped materials and fasten them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue
• May be required to use carpenter's hand tools, small/medium/large power tools, bench tools (saw, drill, grinder), concrete saw, chipper, sander
• When not performing the above mentioned essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by supervisor
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen
• Ability to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 25 pounds
• Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl
• Ability to correctly rig and hoist material
• Ability to tolerate heights without fear
• Ability to maintain balance
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, reach for, handle, and manipulate items and to work in extreme weather conditions (cold and wet)
• Able to work long, irregular and varied hours, 50 to 70 hours per week
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Ability to safely and effectively perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
