Morton Buildings is looking to expand our construction crews and employee owners! Morton Buildings, Inc. is the industry leader in post-frame construction. We have been in business for 120 years and operate more than 10 manufacturing, fabrication, and shipping plants servicing over 100 construction centers nationwide. Each year, thousands of buildings across America feature the familiar Morton M.

Salary is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience.

Bonus! Earn an additional $2000 in your first year. New crew members receive a $500 bonus every quarter during their first year. These bonuses are subject to all applicable taxes.

Under the guidance of your crew foreman, you will:

• Learn, stay current with, and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures, methods, and standards.
• Read, understand, and build according to construction plans.
• Utilize various tools and equipment to construct buildings safely and efficiently.
• Execute tasks such as digging and installing footings, framing walls and roof structures, installing windows, doors, siding, roofing materials, and finishing with trims.
• Work with other crew members in a safe, organized, productive, and respectful environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience in building construction (post-frame), carpentry, or framing preferred.
• Willingness to participate in and complete training.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Availability to work 9-10 hours during peak season.
• Ability to follow directions and produce quality work efficiently.
• Compliance with safety procedures.
• Ability to operate construction tools and safety equipment properly.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds occasionally, and work at heights up to 40 feet.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• This role involves 25% travel, including potential overnight trips up to two weeks.
