Job summary

Jencap in Red Bank, NJ is seeking an Experienced Underwriter to manage and grow a book of profitable Construction business. This role focuses on General Liability and Excess Liability insurance policies and allows for some remote work in the Greater NY or NJ area.

The successful candidate will underwrite risks, communicate effectively with clients, and market insurance products. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years of industry experience, along with relationship-building abilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction related underwriting experience preferred.
• Experience with General Liability and construction insurance highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with agencies and carriers.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite construction business in General Liability and Auto programs.
• Evaluate and price new and renewal applications.
• Ensure follow-up and servicing requirements of all accounts.
• Communicate with clients and colleagues effectively.
• Develop and implement new marketing strategies.
