The role requires facilitation of activities, assessments, and strong use of technology; candidates should be prepared for evening or weekend assignments and participate in program recruitment.

Qualifications

• Verifiable work experience in Building Construction Trades.
• Ability to explain and demonstrate knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and stationary tools used in construction.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, specifications and construction contracts.
• Knowledge of construction safety and PPE rules and regulations.
• Experience with residential and commercial construction practices.
• Experience with wood floor, wall and roof frame construction.
• Understanding of concrete principles, formwork, placement and finish.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with interior and exterior finish materials and applications.
• Experience in estimating and scheduling construction projects.
• Jobsite management and leadership skills.
• Understanding construction contracts and project management operations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver approved curriculum and assessments in an applied learning environment.
• Facilitate activities and discussions for diverse learning styles with mentoring.
• Interpret and administer assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Integrate technology to enrich educational experiences.
• Act as an ambassador for programs and for TSTC.
• Prepare and deliver high quality instruction and develop syllabi and plans.
• Organize daily classes with innovative techniques and tailor methods to learners.
• Fulfill schedule, maintain records, and ensure safety in the instructional environment.
• Advise students and collaborate with Student Success for retention.
• Participate in tours, recruitment events, and program planning.
