Job summary

Texas State Technical College is seeking an Instructor for Electrical Construction at the Fort Bend County Campus in Texas. The role delivers approved curriculum, mentors students, and integrates technology to enrich learning experiences.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree with 5+ years’ experience in the electrical construction industry and a Journeyman or Master electrician license. Strong safety and NEC knowledge are required; teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Verifiable work experience in the electrical construction industry
• Journeyman or master electrician license through TDLR
• Knowledge of safety and PPE protocols and NEC applications
• Ability to interpret blueprints and residential/commercial wiring
• Basic PLCs and motor controls knowledge

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high quality instruction in electrical construction.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional plans.
• Mentor and guide students toward learning outcomes.
• Maintain safety and order in the instructional environment.
• Assist in program recruitment and student success initiatives.
