The position requires travel to project sites, strong reading of plans and specifications, and experience with budgeting, RFIs and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in project management, construction management or related field is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0-1 year of construction/project management experience; familiarity with estimating systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, costing, scheduling and safety standards is preferred.
• Project management training, experience and skills; understanding of the project life cycle.
• Skills to read, interpret contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints and specifications; strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews plans and specifications to understand project scope and milestones; prepares drawings, estimates, RFIs, and cost codes to support construction work.
• Assists project managers with budget tracking, billing, scheduling, and reporting; participates in status meetings and prepares meeting minutes.
• Coordinates preconstruction activities, value engineering, constructability reviews and bid packages.
• Conducts jobsite inspections of first work in place; takes weekly photos and records construction progress.
