Job summary

M. J. Electric is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to partner with hiring managers and leaders, attract and hire top talent, and manage the full recruitment lifecycle. You will also support workforce planning, improve candidate experiences, and help build robust talent pipelines.

The role emphasizes collaboration across the organization, internship and co-op programs, and a focus on quality construction talent with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 2–5 years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition.
• Ability to travel occasionally to regional offices, career fairs, events, and schools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing and recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates.
• Manage full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and pre-employment steps.
• Publish and maintain job postings across career sites and social platforms.
• Source candidates via ATS, networking, referrals, events, and direct outreach.
• Conduct phone screens and in-person/virtual interviews to assess fit and skills.
• Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications.
• Build talent pipelines for critical roles and recurring positions.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to align staffing plans and priorities.
• Support Internship and Co-op programs with the talent team.
