Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Surveyor to support surveying for land development on construction sites. You will prepare worksheets and boundary descriptions while interpreting plans and maps.

You will read blueprints, communicate with clients and construction crews, and assist supervisors. Proficiency with GPS, Total Station, tape measures, and AutoCAD is valued, along with a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; associates or bachelor's in Surveying or Civil Engineering is desirable.
• Proficiency with GPS, Total Station, and tape measure for field surveys.
• Ability to read blueprints and maps for project sites.
• Willingness to work extended hours including nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Survey land for construction projects and prepare worksheets, boundary descriptions.
• Provide consultation on land development projects and read blueprints/maps.
• Survey land for various project sites and communicate with clients, staff, and crews.
• Assist Supervisor or perform other tasks as assigned.
