The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial construction supervision with direct tilt-wall project experience and a proven ability to coordinate multiple crews, subcontractors, and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience.
• MANDATORY: Previous Superintendent experience managing tilt-wall construction projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and scheduling.
• Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and day-to-day field operations independently.
• Strong knowledge of construction plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software preferred.
• Ability to work onsite throughout the Houston market.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations from project mobilization through completion and closeout.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, inspectors, and field personnel across all phases of construction.
• Coordinate tilt-wall construction activities, including panel layout, forming, reinforcing, embeds, concrete placement, panel erection, structural connections, and associated scopes.
• Develop and maintain project schedules while proactively identifying and resolving issues that could impact schedule or budget.
• Manage site logistics, manpower, sequencing, material deliveries, crane operations, inspections, and overall field coordination.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to identify conflicts, constructability issues, and coordination concerns.
• Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, owner, architect, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and participate in OAC and internal project meetings.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed according to contract documents, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Maintain high standards for jobsite safety, quality control, housekeeping, and documentation.
• Identify potential delays, scope gaps, and field issues and develop proactive solutions.
• Maintain daily reports, manpower tracking, schedules, quality documentation, and other required field records.
• Support punch list, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout activities.

Position Overview

A well-established commercial General Contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join its Houston team. This Superintendent will lead commercial construction projects from mobilization through completion, with a primary focus on tilt-wall construction.

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Previous Superintendent experience on tilt-wall construction projects is REQUIRED. Candidates without direct tilt-wall project experience will not be considered.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader with a strong commercial construction background and proven experience coordinating complex tilt-wall projects, subcontractors, schedules, site logistics, safety, quality, and overall field execution.
