Job summary

Consigli Construction 1 is seeking a Senior Superintendent to provide overall administrative and technical management at the construction project site in California. You will supervise on-site activities, manage self-perform labor, subcontractors, and consultants, and drive safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will lead the development of site safety plans, track budgets and progress, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure the project meets contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management; at least 5 years in construction.
• Understands building plans and specs.
• CSL preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of corporate safety standards.
• Working knowledge of CPM scheduling.
• Working knowledge of cost reporting and labor production reporting.
• Thorough knowledge of corporate quality program.
• Thorough knowledge of subcontract language.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Proficient in Safety, Schedule, Cost, Quality, and building strong partnerships.
• Develop and implement a site-specific safety plan for each project.
• Verify subcontractors have valid subcontract and insurance before on-site work.
• Serve as OSHA competent person for tasks or assign others.
• Preplan operations to create safe, efficient methods; correct hazards immediately.
• Supervise on-site construction to meet plans and specs.
• Understand contract owner/subcontractor requirements and change documents.
• Provide technical on-site support and interpret drawings/submittals.
• Work with project team to set goals and milestones.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials for self-perform operations.
• Create the Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) and manage quality efforts.
• Complete onsite material verification as required.
• Assist in budget development and monthly cost-to-complete.
• Manage T&M process and track production; submit weekly quantities.
• Identify field changes and ensure compensation documentation.
• Support subcontractor requisition approvals.
• Manage schedule to meet milestones with baseline tracking.
• Develop a weekly short-term plan and lead daily stand-ups and foreman meetings.
• Maintain updated material delivery log.
• Interface with client representatives, designers, contractors, and officials professionally.
• Participate in business development to generate leads for future projects.
• Attend quarterly superintendent and safety meetings and training.
• Supervise foremen, assistant superintendents, and project engineers.
