As a Construction Superintendent (known internally as Program Field Representative), you will run assigned Construction Projects to support the Facilities and Operations Services (FOS) Facility Asset Management (FAM) team at the Disneyland Resort (DLR).
You will work with the Construction Manager of Facility Asset Management.
Responsibilities/You Will
- Ensure projects are prioritized and performed with an emphasis on quality control, budget management, and schedule control.
- Lead each assigned project from creation to completion.
- Complete projects within the approved budget and schedule, maintaining high quality and cost efficiency.
- Supervise the project safety program in coordination with Disneyland Resort Safety.
- Handle final approval for contractor safety plans and ensure compliance with OSHA, corporate, and Disneyland safety requirements.
- Attend pre- and post-bid scope and constructability reviews during project design phases.
- Develop project implementation strategies and schedules with FAM Project Schedulers.
- Manage the project schedule, including planning tasks and ensuring contractor man-loading to meet completion dates.
- Coordinate operational constraints and project goals, communicating with Partners, Clients, and Operations Management about project status, schedule, financials, and guest impacts.
- Communicate project information to relevant Resort divisions and Operations Management.
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have
- At least one year of experience with concise technical writing in academic or work settings.
- Experience interpreting architectural or engineering drawings.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to engage with various levels of Cast Members and Employees, fostering team agreement.
- Capability to balance urgent requests with long-term team goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency in OSHA Regulations.
Required Education
- High School Diploma with 6+ years of construction supervisor experience on multiple commercial projects.
Preferred Education
- College degree focusing on project management.
- Courses in building construction, MEP systems, estimating, and reading contract documents.
