Job Description Project Manager

Cennox is looking for a Construction Project Manager to work remotely in the Los Angeles/Inland Empire area. The primary business is commercial construction and renovation services for financial institutions.

Position Summary: The Project Manager will be responsible for managing commercial renovation projects, supporting site superintendents and employees, coordinating with sub-contractors, and assisting with daily office activities. The ideal candidate should have experience in project management and construction, interior finishes, and possess strong communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in MS Office tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Managing projects from conception to completion, including site surveys, budgeting, proposals, client negotiations, subcontractor onboarding, scheduling, and project close-out.
2. Determining scope of work and deliverables, resource forecasting, obtaining permits, drafting budgets, managing costs, overseeing contracts, managing schedules, providing progress updates, ensuring compliance with codes, conducting site inspections, managing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, coordinating efforts with architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors, materials management, staff scheduling, invoicing, and handling client escalations.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience.
• Experience with commercial interior projects, including finishes, painting, flooring, millwork, electrical, and blueprint reading.
• Clean DMV and background check (back to age 18).
• Reliable transportation and flexible hours for after-hours and weekend site work.
• High school diploma or equivalent; construction management degree is a plus.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, budgeting, scheduling, negotiation, and cost control skills.
• Attention to detail and proficiency with MS Office and construction software.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work indoors and outdoors, stand for long periods, sit and drive, climb, bend, and reach.
• Vision correctable to 20/20.
