Job summary

RQ Construction, LLC seeks a Construction Superintendent for West Coast Field Operations (Military Projects) to supervise all on-site activities in San Diego County from the Carlsbad office. Role requires coordinating with subcontractors, managing safety, quality, and schedule.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years as superintendent, with strong knowledge of construction processes, certifications, and software tools; bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as Superintendent on medium-size projects; 4+ years field/trade work in construction.
• College courses or degree in construction management, engineering, etc. preferred.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet) required.
• Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certifications, EM-385, and STS required; training can be provided.
• Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable.
• LEED GA/AP Credential desirable.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision, direction, and coordination of all construction work activities, employees, and subcontractors on a project site to safely produce quality work within project requirements, budget, schedule, and company values.
• Relocation to on-site management may be required; local candidates receive priority.
