Gorman & Company seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site activities for Midtown Commons, a 200-unit multifamily development in Milwaukee, WI, with two 100-unit phases and completion anticipated in mid-2028.

You will coordinate subcontractors, manage daily field operations, enforce safety and quality standards, review drawings and submittals, and maintain daily logs and photos while partnering with the Project Manager to keep milestones on track and the project within

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction supervision or similar leadership roles.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction operations through project completion, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, inspections, and sequencing to maintain momentum across phases.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and installation details for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain a safe, organized job site and conduct weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Keep accurate logs, punch lists, and project documentation for turnover.

Join our team as a Construction Superintendent at Midtown Commons!Gorman & Company is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities at Midtown Commons, a 200-unit multifamily development in Milwaukee, WI, consisting of two 100-unit phases, with project completion anticipated in mid-2028. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction leader who can coordinate subcontractors, manage day-to-day field operations, and keep the project on schedule while maintaining high standards for safety and quality.What You’ll DoLead daily on-site construction operations through project completion, ensuring all work meets established safety, schedule, quality, and company standards.Coordinate subcontractors, material deliveries, inspections, and construction sequencing to maintain project momentum and meet key milestones across both phases.Partner with the Project Manager and General Field Superintendent to manage project schedules, anticipate material and equipment needs, resolve field challenges, and communicate progress.Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers, and ownership representatives, building strong working relationships and addressing issues as they arise.Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, and installation details to ensure work is completed accurately and in accordance with project requirements.Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site by enforcing OSHA and company safety standards, conducting weekly Toolbox Talks and safety meetings, and monitoring subcontractor performance.Maintain accurate daily logs, project documentation, delivery records, timecards, as-built drawings, and project photos while overseeing punch-list completion and final project turnover.What You’ll BringThree or more years of experience in construction supervision or a similar field leadership role, preferably with multifamily or large-scale residential construction projects.A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on construction experience.The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, with a strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and field operations.Strong organizational, time management, attention-to-detail, and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep a project moving forward.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead subcontractors, collaborate with project managers, and coordinate effectively with inspectors and other project partners.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project, and the ability to maintain accurate project documentation and manage schedules.A valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements, along with the ability to travel overnight or for extended periods as needed.Why Work With Us at GormanCompetitive salary of $110,000–$130,000 annually.Make a lasting impact by helping deliver a 200-unit multifamily development in Milwaukee, with two 100-unit phases and anticipated completion in mid-2028.Build your career with a vertically integrated company that brings development, architecture, construction, and property management expertise together under one organization.Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; short- and long-term disability coverage; and an employee assistance program.Plan for your future with a 401(k) retirement plan featuring a 6% company match.Maintain work-life balance with 18 days of paid time off and 11.5 paid holidays, plus paid parental leave.Take advantage of additional benefits, including lifestyle spending accounts, pet insurance, and more.Ready to lead a major multifamily construction project in Milwaukee?
