Job summary

Gorman & Company, LLC is seeking an Assistant Construction Superintendent to support Midtown Commons in Milwaukee, a 200-unit multifamily development with two 100-unit phases. You’ll coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, and help keep the project on schedule for completion in mid-2028.

You will work closely with the Field Superintendent and Project Manager, enforcing OSHA safety standards and ensuring quality and timely deliveries, while handling documentation and coordinating with

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year in construction supervision or field operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred in construction management/engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Support the Field Superintendent with daily jobsite operations and subcontractor coordination.
• Monitor construction progress, subcontractor performance, and work sequencing to meet milestones.
• Promote a safe jobsite by enforcing OSHA and company safety requirements; conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Assist with reviewing material specs and purchase orders; coordinate deliveries with Project Manager and suppliers.
• Monitor quality to ensure work follows plans and specifications; raise RFIs as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders; help resolve day-to-day challenges.
• Support accurate project documentation and organization; assist with other field operations as needed.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys working in the field, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining jobsite safety, and helping keep a multifamily project on schedule.
