Gorman & Company is hiring an Assistant Construction Superintendent for Midtown Commons in Milwaukee, WI. The role supports the Field Superintendent, coordinates subcontractors, reviews specs, and helps maintain schedule on a 200-unit multifamily project split into two 100-unit phases, with completion anticipated in mid-2028.

The candidate should have at least 1 year in construction supervision, a high school diploma (degree preferred), and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in construction supervision or field operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate with crews and managers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project software and processes.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Field Superintendent with daily jobsite operations and subcontractor coordination.
• Monitor progress, subcontractor performance, and work sequencing to meet milestones.
• Promote safety by enforcing OSHA rules and leading safety talks.
• Assist with reviewing material specs, PO’s, and coordinating deliveries.
• Monitor quality and communicate field issues and RFIs to Field Superintendent.
• Maintain organized project docs and support various field operations.

Join our team as an Assistant Construction Superintendent at Midtown Commons!Gorman & Company is seeking an Assistant Construction Superintendent to support field operations at Midtown Commons, a 200-unit multifamily development in Milwaukee, WI, consisting of two 100-unit phases with completion anticipated in mid-2028. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys working in the field, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining jobsite safety, and helping keep a multifamily project on schedule.
