Job summary

NewWestBuildingCompany is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on residential and commercial projects, driving schedules, safety, quality, and coordination across trades to NWBC standards.

You will partner with the Project Manager, communicate with owners and design teams, review specs, manage on-site crews, track progress with logs and photos, and ensure projects finish on time and within quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction operations, sequencing and field coordination.
• Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction sites.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Procore and Bluebeam.
• Demonstrated leadership, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with building owners/tenants to review build-out specs.
• Create estimates for build-out projects (labor, materials, costs).
• Coordinate all on-site construction services and activities.
• Maintain and manage daily/weekly/monthly schedules and support budget control.
• Lead on-site construction crews and subcontractors.
• Attend production meetings and communicate with the Project Manager.
• Maintain daily site logs and take daily photos.
• Ensure work meets NWBC quality expectations with the design team.
• Place material orders and manage equipment on-site.
• Monitor safety compliance and maintain logs.
• Keep site clean and orderly; record site personnel.
• Oversee all project phases through completion.
• Perform other duties to support project success.

AbouttheRole
