Job summary

NewWestBuildingCompany is seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations for residential and commercial projects. You will manage site execution from planning through completion, driving schedule, quality, safety, and coordination with trades and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include leading on-site crews, maintaining schedules, monitoring safety, placing material orders, and ensuring adherence to NWBC standards and client specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction operations, sequencing, and field coordination.
• Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Meet with owners/tenants to review build-out specs and improvements.
• Create estimates for build-out projects (labor, materials, costs).
• Coordinate all on-site construction services and activities.
• Maintain and manage daily/weekly/monthly schedules and support budget control.

AbouttheRole

AConstructionSuperintendentwillleadday-to-dayfieldoperationsforresidentialand/orcommercialprojectsandisresponsibleformanagingjobsiteexecutionfromplanningthroughcompletion—drivingschedule,quality,safety,andcoordinationacrosstradesandstakeholders.TheSuperintendentworksinclosepartnershipwiththeProjectManagerandcommunicatesregularlywithowners,tenants,anddesignteamstoensureexpectationsaremetandconstructiondocumentsareexecutedtoNWBCstandards.

KeyResponsibilities

• Maintainsitecleanlinessandoverallorderliness
• Keepdetailedrecordsforsitepersonnelandjobsiteactivities
• Overseeallphasesoftheprojectthroughcompletion
• Performotherdutiesasprojectneedsarisetosupporttheoverallsuccessoftheprojectandtheprojectteam

Qualifications&Experience

• Minimum5yearsofexperienceasaConstructionSuperintendentorinasimilarrole
• Strongunderstandingofconstructionoperations,sequencing,andfieldcoordination
• Knowledgeoflocalquality,safety,andhealthguidelinesforconstructionjobsites
• ProficiencywithMSOfficeSuite(Project,Excel,Word),Procore,andBluebeam
• Demonstratedstrengthsin:
