Job summary

NewWestBuildingCompany in Jackson, WY is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will help keep projects organized by managing documentation, coordinating with subcontractors and stakeholders, supporting schedules, and reinforcing quality and safety on office and active job sites.

The role requires organization, attention to detail, strong communication, and a willingness to travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• Construction industry experience (internship or professional).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Procore and Bluebeam.
• Basic understanding of construction processes, codes and standards.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
• Ability to navigate active job sites and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple projects at various stages (precon through closeout).
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records (drawings, revisions, logs).
• Coordinate OAC meetings (agendas, minutes, action items).
• Prepare project status updates and reports.
• Manage RFIs (draft, upload, track, distribute).
• Process and track submittals for project requirements.
• Assist with project schedules and short-term lookaheads.
• Support preconstruction (takeoffs, scope support, subcontractor outreach, bid leveling).
• Track material deliveries and verify against approved submittals.
• Perform on-site QA/QC and safety inspections; reinforce clean/organized job sites.
• Support closeout documentation and punch list completion.

Compensation:
