Job summary

D.H. Griffin Wrecking Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for our Raleigh, NC division to lead on-site activities and coordinate the project team.

You will schedule daily work, ensure compliance with contracts and codes, uphold safety standards, run weekly progress meetings, and manage documentation and closeout while keeping a clean, safe jobsite. The role emphasizes safety culture with site training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 and CPR certifications required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience as Assistant or Project Superintendent with a mid- to large-size GC.
• 5-8 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including construction management software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal skills with problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordination for all on-site construction activities, serving as the primary field contact for the project team.
• Schedule and direct daily construction activities to ensure timely completion of work.
• Ensure projects are constructed in accordance with contractual documents, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor, identify, and enforce safety and environmental standards.
• Facilitate weekly progress meetings with the design team, trade partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and distribute jobsite documentation (Daily Reports, JSAs, Inspections, Etc).
• Manage self-performed activities to stay within budget, production, and schedule.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure compliance with codes.
• Oversee punch list development, completion, and project closeout activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite at all times.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordination for all on-site construction activities, serving as the primary field contact for the project team.

• Monitor, identify, and enforce safety and environmental standards.
• Facilitate weekly progress meetings with the design team, trade partners, and internal stakeholders.

• Managing self performed activities to ensure that work is being performed within the established project budget, production, and schedule.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Qualifications / Skills and Knowledge Requirements

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the construction industry.
