Job summary

Southern Search is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial projects in Tampa, FL. You will oversee day-to-day site activities, coordinate subs and materials, enforce safety standards, and drive projects to on-time, on-budget completion.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial construction leadership, strong means & methods knowledge, and OSHA 30 certification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Ground-up and renovation commercial project experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of means & methods, scheduling and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for authoritative jobsite management.
• OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field operations across active commercial construction sites.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project schedules.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure jobsite compliance.
• Partner with Project Managers to keep projects on time and on budget.
• Conduct quality control inspections and manage punch lists through closeout.

Southern Search is partnering with a growing commercial general contractor to find an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial projects.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives on-site, owns project execution from ground-breaking to closeout, and takes pride in delivering quality work, on schedule and on budget.

What You'll Do

• Partner closely with Project Managers to keep projects on time and on budget
• Conduct quality control inspections and manage punch lists through closeout
• Lead, mentor, and hold accountable field crews and subs

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Proven track record managing ground-up and/or renovation commercial projects
• Strong knowledge of means & methods, scheduling, and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and leadership skills — this role requires someone who can run a jobsite with authority and professionalism
• OSHA 30 certification

Base Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience)

Bonus: Target - 20% annually
